FRG SUMMER CHANGELOGS PRE-RELEASE PART 2!!!
September 3, 2026 · posted by Brassx · 670 views
The summer update is coming September 4th 2026!
Here's a couple other changes coming with it. (Just in time for the end of summer... somehow)
Note: I am not listing absolutely everything here. There's a lot to figure out and experience, it may feel overwhelming but It's worth it in the end.
The FRG Hub
The FRG Hub is a new central menu containing quick access to nearly every major FRG feature.
- Search for features directly from the Hub.
- Press F4 to open it.
- Type
!hub.
- You can also bind a key to
br_dashboard.
After I wrote this someone suggested being able to customize it, so I added that too:
You can customize the colors/positions of everything, and it saves.
You can make nodes primary nodes and add other nodes connected to it, or hide nodes. Just right click them while in customize mode.
Coinshop & Character
- Made several minor improvements to the Coinshop/Character UI.
- Added a new type of cosmetic that cannot be disabled.
- These will be used sparingly.
- Each one will be carefully designed to avoid impacting gameplay or performance.
- If one is found to cause problems, it will be changed accordingly.
- The Flaming Head cosmetic from the Frontier Box uses this new type.
- Fixed rings/jewelry not obeying the maximum equip limit displayed in the UI.
- More changes to rings are planned later, particularly for weaker rings, to make this limit feel more appropriate.
- This bug needed to be fixed now so the new cosmetic types properly obey equip limits.
- If you already own an item of a certain type in your Coinshop, inventory items of that same type will no longer hide the "Add to Coinshop" option.
- Instead, you'll be asked whether you'd like to replace the currently equipped/stored item.
Bestiary

- Added !bestiary (or also in hub).
This is not retroactive, but this will be used going forward.
- You can track various monsters & bosses you slay/encounter with tidbits about their lore and maybe clues to their attacks or weaknesses, you can view some cosmetic masteries, and some charm progress (highlighted blow).
- Only monsters you slay show up here, otherwise they show up as unknown if you encountered one but didn't slay it, or not at all until you see one.
Charms

Charms are a brand-new PVE oriented permanent progression system, completely separate from your inventory and normal loot.
You don't find a Charm in a crate, and you can't lose one to bad luck.
You earn it, forever.
Open the Charm collection at any time with !charms, or access it through the FRG Hub.
How Charms Work
A Charm is an account-wide permanent unlock.
Once you've earned one, it's yours for good across every session.
Binding Charms
A Charm can be bound to one weapon at a time.
Slot one onto your favorite weapon and its effect becomes active immediately.
You can move it to another weapon whenever you want:
- No cost.
- No cooldown.
- No penalty.
Charms also cannot be accidentally lost.
If you trade, sell, dismantle, or otherwise get rid of a weapon containing a Charm, the Charm is automatically removed first and returned to your collection.
For now, every weapon has one Charm Slot.
This is intentionally just the starting point. Additional Charm Slots are planned later and will be tied to systems such as Weapon Mastery.
Most Charms are unlocked through Charm Ladders, generally containing somewhere between five and ten tiers.
Each tier is an improved version of that Charm, with some ladders gaining additional special effects as you progress further.
There are also a handful of Secret Charms.
Where to Find Everything
!charms - Opens the full Charm Collection.
- View every ladder and tier.
- See both locked and unlocked Charms.
- Weapon Stat Cards
- Hover over a weapon's Charm Slots to see what's currently equipped.
- Charm Guide
- Click the
? in the corner of the Charm panel for a full explanation of the system.
Important: Charms are a completely new progression system, so kills earned prior to this update will not count toward Charm progression.
Apologies for the inconvenience, but this is an intentional choice.
Killcards

- Added first iteration of killcards. These are like little achievements you can do for killcards, which show up when killing others (and eventually will be for player profiles & record holders).
- Find it in !killcards, or in F4-> killcards
Dilap Changes
Dilap has received several changes aimed at making runs more active, approachable, and rewarding.
- Players now respawn 30 seconds after death, except during the final boss encounter.
- Enemy density has been increased by roughly 20×.
- Enemies are now less punishing toward newer players in a variety of ways.
- Added a new Dilap information page:
- Added additional ways to obtain loot throughout Dilap.
- Including new treasure chests and other rewards.
Commands page
- Added a webpage you can visit to view all of our chat commands.
https://loading.frg.gg/commands/
This list was auto generated based on my Lua, so there may be some dated commands here that no longer work yet still exist. I will clean it up over time.
Other Changes
- Improved storage loading, storage now also loads bag by priority you give it (higher = first), and it uses a round robbin system so multiple people can't just get stuck loading behind someone with 30k items.
- VIP now grants +2 bonus tries at mystic vendor offers each reset.
- Redesigned the FRG Frame UI element we've used for years. You can still customize the header color. This makes our style more consistent with the major overhauls I've made elsewhere.
- You can now see your own legs/body in first person when looking down use
br_legs 0 to disable this.
- Storage devices now also have their own dismantle wand button.
- You can now click + drag mouse around to quickly select many items at once with the dismantle wand
- AN-94 recoded
- Now fires a 2-round burst when tapped, then transitions into fully automatic fire at ~6 RPS.
- Reworked Deliverance.
- Reworked Frostburns.
- Reworked Frost.
- Reworked Ferno.
- Recoded supershot grapple
- Buffed Hellhound TECH.
- Most of the older "silly/swappy" Bunny traits have been retired for now and will no longer function.
- These did not age particularly well and may be revisited in the future.
- Node trees now show elemental types (if applicable)
- Traits that refill mag (entirely) now trigger on-reload effects/traits.
- Remade Sand Gauntlets
- Remade Shockweave, it should be at least more clear now. Still kinda an oddball.
- Wrench turrets now auto targets monsters in pve but can also be attacked by them and destroyed.
- You can now minimize the UI in !spins in order to spin while playing the game.

- !invite <player> now creates a party for you if you're not already in one.
- Many other bug fixes/tweaks.
